After a few weeks in the workshop being varnished, painted and refitted K349 was ready to go.
And now all she needed was to get wet……which she did at Roadford Lake at a CVRDA event.
And for the first time at an event we came 5th overall and 3rd in the ‘Classic’ Class.

Hello! I took a look at your website and have to congratulate for your awsome job on that finn! I myself have a Finn too and also restored it last year, and it didn’t turn out half of the quality of yours… Anyway, I need some help from you now, if you would be so kind. As I finished restoring my boat – it is from 1960, so more than 50 years old – I had an additional problem – my mast was stolen. I looked up for new masts but they are all very expensive and in carbon, which would not be worth it for such a boat. The solution I foundm however, is to ask a guy that works on a wood shop to do a wooden mast for me, it is relatively cheap. I need, however, the plans to do it, as he does not have them – like width, size, etc…
Do you by chance have the plans for a mast, or know where I can find them?
Thank you,
Regards,
Mendo
